(April 7, 2006) Edmonton Police Service Recover University Cup, still seeking tips
On the morning of Tuesday, March 28th at approximately 2:00 AM, the University Cup, symbolic of CIS Men’s Hockey supremacy was stolen from the “The Armoury” night club in Edmonton, where members of the two-time defending National Champion University of Alberta Golden Bears hockey club had congregated to celebrate their victory in the 2006 TELUS University Cup played the previous night at Rexall Place.
A tip early the morning of Friday, April 7 led to finding of the Cup outside a local school, but the suspect has not yet been found.
